Happy St. Paddy’s Day! No matter what you observe, St. Paddy’s Day is a fun-filled holiday for everyone!  Do you want to include your pet in the fun?  Here are a few ways Evanger’s recommends making this a unique holiday for your pup or kitty.

  1. St. Paddy’s Scavenger Hunt for Kibble
  • Feeding a rainbow of flavors leads the path to a golden microbiome.  Why not turn it into a game!  Hide a few different flavors of Evanger’s kibble in a specified area of your house.  Hold some kibble up to your pet’s nose with the command, “FIND IT!”  Let your dog or cat hunt around and sniff out the kibble you’ve laid.  Once your pet finds all the kibble, you can lead them to a pot of gold – a bowl of kibble!  You can also top the kibble with Hand-Packed Braised Beef for a themed-dinner prize.

      2. Form Evanger’s canned foods into clover-shaped cookies

  • We love keeping this recipe beef-themed as a nod to a Corned Beef sandwich one might eat on St. Patrick’s Day.  Pick up a can of Beef Complements at your local pet food retailer.  Pop the can open and scoop a spoonful onto a coated baking sheet.  Press the beef pate down so that the surface is level.  Form the sides of a shamrock with clean hands or a spoon.  Once you have about 10 4-leaf-clovers ready, pop them into the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes.  Wait for the cookies to cool and voila!  Your dog or cat can enjoy shamrock cookies, made by you!
