How to Keep a Green Pawprint for Earth Day π
by Ian Germann
As Earth Day approaches, it’s important to reflect on ways we can make a positive impact on our environment. At Evanger’s we understand the importance of nature and the role it plays in our day-to-day life. That’s why instead of celebrating just one day in April for Earth Day, we celebrate all of April as “Earth Month” to promote making a positive impact on our environment.
If you want pet food that’ll leave a green pawprint on the environment, all of our canned foods come in 100% infinitely recyclable steel cans that are BPA-Free. Along with the environmental benefits, these cans are super convenient and affordable, with shelf lives that may be safe for consumption YEARS after their suggested sell-by dates. They also play a key role in our cooking process, sealing all the nutrients IN and keeping the bacteria OUT.
Here’s some other easy to implement, environmentally friendly actions you can do throughout the month to support our dear Mother Earth:
Use Reusable Bags: Bring your own reusable bags when you go grocery shopping or running errands to reduce the use of plastic bags, which contribute to plastic pollution.
Conserve Water: Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth, fix any leaks in your home and use water-saving shower heads and faucets to help conserve water.
Save Energy: Turn off lights, appliances and electronics when not in use. Also switch to energy-efficient light bulbs and unplug chargers when they’re not in use to reduce energy consumption.
Opt for Sustainable Transportation: Use public transportation, carpool, bike or walk whenever possible to reduce carbon emissions from fossil fuels and promote sustainable transportation options.
Educate Yourself and Spread Awareness: Stay informed about environmental issues, educate yourself about sustainable practices and share your knowledge with others to help raise awareness and inspire positive change.
